Baseball enthusiasts of all ages are gearing up for an exciting weekend of camaraderie and competition as Minnesota hosts a statewide baseball extravaganza called Baseball Across Minnesota May 2-5, 2024. The event is a celebration of the sport’s inclusivity, emphasizing that baseball truly is for everyone.

Teams spanning various age groups will take to the fields, showcasing the diverse and passionate baseball community that thrives across the state. From MYAS/MBL/Miracle League sluggers to the seasoned veterans of Minnesota high schools, colleges, town ball teams and pro players, this event promises action-packed games that capture the essence of America’s favorite pastime.

Adding a philanthropic touch to the festivities, attendees can support two important causes. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive baseball apparel through Game One, with proceeds contributing to ALS and Ataxia research. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will go toward the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, fostering positive community impact through various initiatives.

“We believe in the power of baseball to bring people together, regardless of age or background,” said Craig Anderson, executive director of the Minnesota High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Event organizer Troy Urdahl, head baseball coach at St. Anthony Village, said, “This weekend is not just about the game, but about building connections and supporting meaningful causes that resonate with our community.”

As teams vie for victory on the diamond, spectators can revel in the joy of the sport while knowing their presence supports both ALS/Ataxia research and community development through the Minnesota Twins Community Fund.
